Learn To Play The Violin

Whether you’re picking up the violin for the first time or returning to it with fresh eyes, I offer lessons designed to meet you where you are. With over two decades of experience, I help students grow not just as players, but as expressive musicians with their own voice.

Teaching Style

My approach is positive, encouraging, and thoughtful. I work to create a safe and supportive environment where students can grow and develop their skills on the violin. Lessons are focused and interactive and are designed to help students develop an understanding of tone, style, rhythm and more. I tailor my approach to meet each student’s needs and work best with students over the age of 7 who are passionate about the violin.

Methodology

For beginner students, I draw from Essential Elements and the Suzuki method to establish a strong foundation in technique, ear training, and musicality. These materials help students develop confidence and fluency in the fundamentals.

As students progress, I incorporate a mix of technical studies, etudes, and repertoire tailored to individual strengths and goals. Intermediate and advanced students focus on expanding their repertoire, refining artistic expression, and strengthening their technical skills.

I have successfully prepared students for ABRSM exams as well as auditions for school programs, youth orchestras, and musicals.
