Johan is an entrepreneur, writer, and coach living in the Bay Area.

Johan Qin began playing music at the age of 5 years old and achieved early success in his career as the concertmaster of Foothill High School. As a student, he was accepted into the Oakland Youth Orchestra, where he won second place twice in their annual concerto competition and performed with them on tour in Costa Rica and at the prestigious Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco. He also served as the concertmaster of the Livermore-Pleasanton Youth Outreach Symphony as a senior in high school.

Johan attended Northwestern University, where he studied the violin briefly with famed pedagogue Almita Vamos. As a student, he was involved on campus, writing for campus magazines and participating in Asian American organizations. He graduated in 2016 with a B.A. in Sociology and a minor in Asian American Studies, and his senior thesis was received with distinction by the Sociology Department and awarded by the Asian American Studies Department.
Since graduating, Johan has explored and pursued his talents in music, writing and psychology. He is driven by work that moves others, and enjoys sharing his knowledge so others can also live the life they want. He has gained professional experience as a writer, coach and educator and loves helping others improve themselves. In his free time, he plays games, works out, and thinks of new business ideas.
